Basic shopping exchanges no longer include hello, how are you? Or end with a polite thank you. Surly attitudes and indifference have become the norm, and is tolerated as acceptable behavior. Would we tolerate a dog that snarls every time we greet it? So why are we complicit with this attitude towards a fellow human? Please.
